With a broad swath of musical influences, Crimson Symphony appeals to the musical tastes of many! The primary composer and frontman Matt Gibson speaks of his influences “I grew up listening to all the 80’s guitar shredders and belters like David Coverdale, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, George Lynch, Michael Sweet from Stryper, Les Carlsen from Bloodgood, Tony Harnell from TNT, Rob Halford/Judas Priest and invested heavily in listening to artists like Michael Hedges, Jerry Reed, Al Dimeloa, Allan Holdsworth, Andy Timmons and others. About 5 years ago I dove into hip hop and got into playing the drums. Many of the rhythmic elements of my art contains that backbeat feel. ”
